The Aftermath

By , Jun 25, 2015

It’s been a little over a week since the race and I am still in denial. Denial that it is over and denial that it was really that hot! How quickly the mind forgets the things that are so hard…and then craves more.

After a week of sleeping in and recovering (in my defence I was mostly on the road for work), getting back on the wagon to get out there at 5:30 each morning has been hard. Fortunately,¬†one temporary tattoo ¬†seems to be a little too permanent a fixture on my calf and has been acting as a steady reminder of all that was accomplished at Eagleman by everyone on the team. What a fantastic event to be a part of and what a wonderful group to share that experience with. The tattoo reminds me of the inspiration of that day and the amazing support that was there from the team, from the volunteers and from my family. I can’t help but to smile each time I think of the event that was, and wonder what the next event is going to be!
