Hobo Wine Supports TI

Kenny Likitprakong, winemaker and owner of the Hobo Wine Company, will celebrate 10 years in business and 30 years of skateboarding with a charity event at the Healdsburg Skate Park at 15252 Grove St. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 2- 4 pm followed by a charity harvest dinner in the cellars of the winery from 5 to 9pm.

Inspired by his cousin Jessica Hensley’s fight with cancer and the support she received from the Baltimore based non-profit, Team Inspiration, Kenny has asked his friends at REAL Skateboards and their Actions REALized Program to collaborate with him to raise funds to support Team Inspiration and their quest to provide resources to promote the healing process for persons living with cancer.

The skate demo will feature professional skateboarders from REAL Skateboards and other guests and friends.  This part of the day is open to the public with donations to Team Inspiration gratefully accepted.  A raffle of various action sports equipment and more will also take place.  Donations for the raffle can be sent to the Hobo Wine Company, 1141 Grant Ave Healdsburg, CA 95448.

Dinner will be a ticketed event and served in the cellars throughout the winery. Catered by recently branched out Zazu chef Tara Wachtel and her husband Les Goodman of Dry Creek Kitchen and their company Adafina Culinary, dinner will be focused and highlight seasonal and local fare.

Wine will be a retrospective list from the last 10 years including: Hobo, Folk Machine, Banyan, Make-Work Wine Co. and the Ghostwriter. There will be live music from the Doppler Trio, the SF based jazz trio.  The silent auction will feature many items including: wine from producers like Arnot Roberts and Wind Gap, spa packages, and catered dinners in the vineyard just to name a few. Tickets are available online at: http://shop.hobowines.com.

The commemorative Potter Valley Pinot Noir will be released along side it’s matching skateboards.  The single bottling has 3 different labels and each label has been placed on the bottom of a skateboard produced just for this event and our fundraising efforts. They will be available for raffle, auction, and sale at the event.
