Marty and Lauren Rockin It @ Challenge Barcelona!

Marty Saturn and Lauren Schweitzer are racing in the 140.6 mile Challenge Barcelona triathlon today! Marty is veteran in the world of triathlon having raced several IM distance races, including Kona. This will be the first IM distance race for his training partner, Lauren. Both of them are going to rock it! Shortly after arriving in Barcelona, Marty sent us an email to let us know how he’s doing. He’d only been there for about 2 days and already has had quite an adventure! Day 1 at Challenge Barcelona-Maresme

Hola from Calella, Spain! I arrived yesterday morning (Thursday) and was picked up from the airport by my training/racing buddy Marty, who had arrived in Spain on Monday. Marty helped my carry my bike box to his rental car- which he had just swapped out for a larger car, but after hearing more I think there were other reasons. Ironman dreams, powered by chemo! (part 5)

Well I just passed the half way point of this chemo journey!   Cycle #4 went ahead as planned yesterday and although I am feeling the usual post chemo roughness, I am happy. If it all goes according to plan, I will actually be done at the end of November, which must be just round the corner yes?
